Tamar Braxton

There is no denying that Tamar Braxton has been an unforgettable force since she burst on the scene in 2000. But 2025 is Tamar Estine Braxton’s “Me Year.” The EMMY and GRAMMY®-nominated multi-hyphenate has reclaimed her voice and found a new balance as a singer, actress, television personality, and producer. As the dynamic Renaissance woman builds her empire in music, television, and film, she is fearlessly making her mark on everything she touches.

After co-creating and starring for seven seasons on WeTV’s historically successful “Braxton Family Values” –– the longest-running family reality show in TV history –– the youngest Braxton sister continues to make her mark in television. She recently reassumed her beloved role as Sasha for season 2 of the hit BET show “Kingdom Business,” and after co-creating and starring on the syndicated daytime talk show “The Real” from 2013 to 2016 (which earned two Daytime EMMY Award nominations), Tamar joined the cast of FOX’s comedic entertainment news show “Dish Nation” for its 12th season in 2023 and has been a refreshing addition to the show.

In addition to her television endeavors, the songbird has been busy working on new music. She released the single “Notice Me” in March of this year, which hit #2 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart, which was Tamar’s fifth top 10 on Billboard but her highest peak thus far. She released a new single with Eric Benét called “Something We Can Make Love To” this summer. Tamar’s fans will be elated that she is currently working on her long-awaited album, which will be her sixth studio album, after enjoying much success with Love and War and Calling All Lovers (the albums reached #1 and #2 on Billboard’s R&B Albums charts respectively).

The seamless pivot she made from singing to acting also secured her guest star appearances on television shows such as “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Celebrity Big Brother,” (which she won), the stage with “Redemption of a Dogg,” and the big screen in the 2020 film True to The Game 2 (in conjunction with the film, she released the single “Crazy Kind of Love,” which climbed to #2 on Billboard’s Adult R&B charts during the pandemic). Tamar has also appeared as a guest host on the Soul Train Awards (backstage) in 2023 and “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” reunion in 2022. She appeared on the third season of the wildly popular BET reality show “College Hill: Celebrity Edition” in June 2024, alongside Angela ‘Blac Chyna’ White and Saucy Santana. The show follows a group of celebs residing together as students at Xavier, the nation’s sole Catholic Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

Following her autobiographical docuseries “Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!” Tamar temporarily fell out of love with reality television due to divorce, single motherhood, and depression, and considered retiring from music. However, the multi-talented entertainer managed to bounce back and found success with her 2021 podcast “Under Construction,” which received two NAACP nominations. That same year, she decided to flex her entrepreneurial skills and formed her own multimedia production company Tamar Braxton Productions (TBP), which will produce television and film and release her music projects. So far, TBP has produced a cooking series with Tamar and her mother Evelyn in tandem with Powerhouse Productions, which will air on CLEO and TV One this fall, and her family’s reboot for the “The Braxtons” on WE TV, which will air in August 2024. TBP has also partnered with Kingdom Reign Entertainment (Carlos King) to develop scripted and unscripted projects for Lifetime television. In addition to all of that, Tamar also manages to find time to be a philanthropist and has recently donated to Norfolk University.

Today, Tamar continues to put motherhood first as she raises her son Logan. She has also found a solid commitment to therapy and the art of balancing her career as a celebrity and multi-hyphen entertainer. But no matter what, she always has space for her first passion: music. With five EMMY nominations and four GRAMMY® nominations, this is just the beginning for this blessed and super-gifted “Boss Mom.”
