Renowned as a real estate broker, designer, author, life coach, and serial entrepreneur, Egypt has cultivated a multifaceted empire that inspires and empowers millions. She is best known as the host and executive producer of HGTV’s top-rated series “Married to Real Estate”, which drew over 19 million viewers in its debut season. Now in its fourth season, the show consistently ranks among HGTV’s top five programs and will broadcast in more than 82 countries by February. Egypt’s television legacy also includes hit shows like Flipping Virgins and the long-running Property Virgins, where her expertise has made her a household name in real estate.

A visionary entrepreneur, Egypt is the Founder & CEO of the Indigo Road family of companies, which includes Indigo Road Realty, a leading residential brokerage; Indigo Road Design Group, offering premier design services; and Indigo Road Home Furnishings, her signature home décor line. This summer, Indigo Road Home Furnishings will debut in 307 JC Penney stores and on Kohls.com, expanding Egypt’s mission to make sustainable, luxurious, and functional design accessible to all.

Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits, Egypt is the co-founder of 1000 Women Owned, a nonprofit she launched alongside Elizabeth Oates, dedicated to empowering and uplifting 1,000 women-owned businesses by 2030. Rooted in the belief that when one woman rises, she brings others with her, 1000 Women Owned provides a holistic approach to success, offering funding, educational resources, and personalized business consulting. The initiative is committed to breaking barriers for female entrepreneurs by fostering a supportive global network where women can flourish financially, develop into confident leaders, and thrive both personally and professionally.

Egypt’s trailblazing work has earned her widespread recognition and numerous accolades. She was recently honored with the BronzeLens Women of Honors Vanguard Award, named one of USBC’s Women of Influence Power 50 Honorees, and recognized as a Cheryl Magazine 2025 “Women of Influence” Honoree. She has also received an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Stillman College, been nominated for both the NAACP Image Award and Critics’ Choice Award, was named “Global Influencer of the Year” by Inman News and named in Atlanta Magazine as “Atlanta’s Top 500 Leaders in Residential Real Estate”.

In addition, Egypt has been featured on the covers of Simply Buckhead, American Woman, Sheen Magazine and Cheryl Magazine, and was recognized by the 100 Black Women organization as a

trailblazer in real estate. Her contributions to her community were further celebrated with a Proclamation from the City of Atlanta, declaring August 23rd as “Egypt Sherrod Appreciation Day”, and she had the prestigious honor of ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

As a devoted mother to three daughters—Harper, Kendall, and Simone—she balances her thriving career with her commitment to family. Alongside her husband of 14 years, Mike Jackson, Egypt co-hosts The Marriage & Money Podcast with Egypt & Mike, where they offer candid insights on business, relationships, faith, and family.
